BX2 Dual Outlet Bluetooth® Tap Timer

I gave this item one star because it actually works well however having two units fail because Of water entering the electronics. These units have very poor connection to the tap causing leaks which enter into the unit. Until this problem is corrected I would recommend not buying this type of unit.

As it's controlled by an app on the phone, it's very easy to use and understand, and it's intuitive. A problem with previous timers is that if your tap was low, you had to get down on your knees to see the display. They often also combined numerous functions into one button, which was confusing. None of these issues are applicable to the app, which has separated the start, duration, days etc into their own place on the app.

This was a very simple timer to setup and using the app provided a straightforward way to program the cycles I wanted. Connection to the device is fast. Time will tell as to how long the battery will last but so far it has been working great.

Why did Holman design the bx2 with a path for water to ingress through the valve plug connection in the back of the unit ?
Silicone sealant would have prevented me having a water filled electronics compartment.

Just died - waste of money

It sometimes disconnects from Bluetooth and will stay on which is really bad for the unreliability factor. Have had to remove battery and reinstate to reset and get going again. Still not sure if I can trust it

Set up and working well at the moment. Concept good and having a two year warranty also a good point.

After 4 months power failed without any form of notification from app, I realised after 4 days so plants died. Replaced with new batteries and still didn't work and noticed blue discharge. No troubleshooting information but seems like some form of internal corrosion.

I bought the BX2 to water my Japenese maples in hope it will helps to keep my garden watering schedule during two weeks holiday in the US. It runs fine and on schedule when I was still at home. Unfortunately, it completely dead after I left home for a fews days, as a result of lacking of water, two of my rare Japenese Maples, and one of my black bamboo were dead. Luckily that I check my camera early and call my friend come over and replace the water timer with other brand when I was in the State. What can I do with this junk when I dont have a reciept and box. I bought it at Bunning.

Disconnects from Bluetooth all the time. Turned on for schedule watering in the morning. It ran for 6 hours non stop and flooded my yard. Extremely unreliable!
