Preparing tap timers for winter
Be sure you check with your local water authorities for any sprinkler bans
We recommend either reducing the watering time or turning it off completely
In really cold climates, we suggest that you remove the battery and make sure there is no water left inside the tap timer
If you live in an area that gets frost, we recommend taking off the tap timer completely and storing it away for the meantime
Have been pretty happy with these timers. Have not found any fault with them.

Great
Gave used for 8 months now, love having a battery indicator, huge flexibility in timing schedules and manual run time. Haven't had a problem with them so far

Software and manuals are just crap
Still trying to get this thing to actually work (without success)

Timer lost connection, runs water until manual valve closure.
Recurring issue where the the timer seems to froze and lost bluetooth connectivity, resulting in the tap being left open. The only way for the timer to be responsive again is to open and reinsert the battery cartridge. This had happened a few times now. This timer cannot be trusted as a left-alone timer. Probably useful if you are at home and always keeps an eye on it.
Extremely extremely frustrating as water has been wasted.
And also, opening the battery cartridge means having to unscrew the pipe as it is a stupid design - see photos.
Take full control of your garden watering and lighting with a Bluetooth® connection and a tap of your iPhone or Android. Our BX1 Tap Timer is built for the iGardener™ smartphone app!
