Q: I am in South Australia and I am having trouble setting up the Time Zone

  • Set the time zone to +9.
  • Then set the clock manually through the screen to your time.
  • When you come to the SYNC option, turn this to OFF and the clock will not sync with the time server.
  • This will stop the auto update every 12 hours, putting the time out again.
  • Using the steps above, manually set for daylight savings time when required.

Aspect Wi-Fi Analyst Weather Station

I have just installed a new one of these, and found it very simple to do so.

It is virtually assembled in the box, with the only thing to do, is to add the batteries, and mount it.

The instruction manual has everything you need to know, as well as a great tutorial on connecting it to the internet via Weather Undergound.

After having used other weather stations previously, I found this to be well priced and easy to install.

I would highly recommend this Weather Station to any user.

Thanks

John

Good while it works

Have had two of these and they both died within about 6 months. The first one kept disconnecting from the inside unit. The second one was not very accurate at recording rainfall (had a manual gauge beside it) The concept is good but the weather station doesn't like the QLD weather very much.

Thank you for contacting us. We're sorry to hear your weather stations have stopped working after only six months. Please get in touch with our customer service team to assess if they are still under warranty replacement. They can also offer solutions to ensure your weather stations work to their best ability. This can emailed through the contact page on the website or at support@holmanindustries.com.au.
We look forward to helping soon.

Good unit

Unit has a fair bit of information on it. Was easy to set-up, just HAVE to read the instructions. I'm not using WiFi though as I live remotely. Still works great, just doesn't record a months worth of data, no biggie, as far as I'm concerned.
Unit did stop working after 6 months though, but got a replacement unit.

Great Weather Station

I was lucky to receive it for fathers/ poppas day. Early days but very impressed so far with quality and function. A little tricky to connect with Wunderground but careful reading of the instructions, online video and sticking with it, got it sorted. Its great being able to check the weather at home from a distance away via my mobile. Display is clear and unit is user friendly and affordable. Would recommend.

Love the Weather Station

Purchased this WS from Bunnings. After having drama with Ebay rubbish. It is great. Had no issues with installing it. Registering it on Weather Underground was slightly complicated but I managed to do it. The only negative comment I have I wish it was solar powered as changing the lithium batteries is a nuisance. I had to mount it on a pole on the fence and will have to unbolt it when batteries need changing. Apart from that it is fantastic. The Video provided was also a big help and the fact that I had to point it South for the southern hemisphere was interesting. That instruction did not come with my previous Weather Station.

Almost...

I received the weather station as a gift in November last year and was pretty happy with it until mid-February. Now it's not working.

The rain gauge started playing up first. We had some pretty heavy duty storms recently and the gauge only measure a few mm of rain but our front yard and the whole town was flooded. A week later and we had no rain, no wind and lovely weather and the rain gauge was recording 44mm of rain that certainly didn't hit the ground.

Over the next few days the rest of the gauges stopped working and now we have nothing...

The other problem we've found is that the indoor terminal has zero LCD readability. The screen is on but even viewing it from different angles doesn't help.

I like the unit and the idea that you can look up your home weather from wherever you are. If it's a battery problem for the sending unit then they should last a lot longer than a couple of months.

Very Poor Instructions

The instructions for this are extremely poor. It is not a step by step instruction. At the start the instructions say ensure that the unit is in AP mode. I had to read through numerous pages to find out what AP mode is and how to get there. Then the instructions say go to the advanced tab. After two hours of looking and reading and watching videos I still cannot find the advanced tab.
The outdoor unit will simply not connect to the control panel. i have reset both the control panel and the out unit. There is simply no connection.
Very frustration piece of equipment. It is very close to being binned.

Great little unit

I received the union for my birthday. It was easy to set up and the nerd in me loves watching the readings. The only thing missing from this very smart unit is the UV reading and some pics of peoples installations (for some inspiration). Apart from that couldn’t be happier.

Good unit

Overall good product
Don’t like the fact that the rain gauge resets at midnight
Would like it to reset 9.00 am as per au standard
Other than that good product easy to read
